We are looking for a talented Brake Assembly Operator to join our team for our location in York, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Following all site safety rules and safe operating practices.
Adhering to all work instructions and completing all quality checks as defined in the control plans.
Meeting all site attendance expectations.
Being an active and engaged participant in the site CI efforts, including employee suggestion implementation and active participation in PIE events.
Report all accidents and near miss incidents immediately.
Maintain excellent housekeeping at all times.
Operators may also be required to run in various pneumatic tools & hoists.
Job function may include jobs associated with minor maintenance and material handling.
Be an effective Team member and help other operators within the Team when needed. Working as a Team member is essential to the successful operation of the Team.
Operators may be asked to perform more than one function per day to assist with material flow.
Must be able to work required overtime as scheduled.
Assure correct parts are being used by comparing part numbers stamped on parts to part numbers on Work in Progress ticket.
Operate and perform the job by reading and understanding the control plan, work instructions and bill of materials.
Operate various pieces of production equipment within the plant by observing correct operation procedures according to work instructions, loading the machine with raw material and unloading the equipment once the process has been completed.
Train other operators by demonstrating proper techniques, explaining processes and advising of proper forms to complete.
Assure tooling is acceptable for use by inspecting for wear.
Check part dimensions by using various gauges and recording information on proper forms.
Check part dimensions by gathering information on blueprints.
Maintain production records by recording data onto forms.
Check assembly for quality by using go-no-go gauges.
Determine if machine is ready for use by checking the Machine Setup Inspection Approval Sheet.
Place defective parts in correct locations according to specific work instructions.
Troubleshoot equipment by noticing issues and discussing with setup person or other supervision.
Create labels for product by using label maker.
Track hourly performance and downtime on hour by hour boards.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
6 months previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
Lifting and carrying parts up to forty (40) pounds up to ten (10) hours per day.
Grasping and moving parts of various size up to ten (10) hours per day.
Walking and standing up to ten (10) hours per day.
Repeated bending, twisting, stooping several hours per day.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in either a group setting or individually.
Ability and willingness to operate necessary equipment.
Ability to work 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:20 PM (M-F)
Overtime as business requires. (Some Saturdays & Holidays)
Pay starting at $17.00/HR $0.50/HR Shift Differential

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
