We have an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, NC for a Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager . In this exciting position you will be responsible for managing, developing and lead the daily activities of production teams in a environmentmanufacturing, including managingteam members, housekeeping, and meeting production and quality targets.
Please Note: this is a third shift position that starts nightly @ 8:00 PM.
Your responsibilities may include:
Overall management, development and support of up to 80 production team members.
Work cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
Provide guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals, set expectations and clarify responsibilities.
Coach, develop and mentor team members.
Identify training needs, develop and implement training plans.
Partner and collaborate cross functionally with teams / departments (quality, maintenance, engineering, etc.)
Motivate and influence others
Manage and develop teams
Health and Safety Fundamentals
Communicates effectively across all levels
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or a related field.
5 or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
10 years of manufacturing experience, preference for technical experience.
Proven experience leading a large team (50 ) in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical / data skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary commensurate with experience.
