This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a Electrical Maintenance Technician.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

This position will have responsibility for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on completely automated transfer lines, for Assembly & Test equipment to support the daily production operations.

.Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime

  • Troubleshoot and perform all required electrical maintenance on automated equipment

  • Ensure machine availability of 95% or higher

  • Actively participate in the Skills Training Program to ensure continuing skills improvement

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance activities

  • Utilize Maximo to record and track work activities

.Must work a fixed shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd)


  • Four (4) years of applicable experience as a qualified repair person in trouble-shooting and repair of electrical systems, relay, PLC, Robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics system and controls for machine repair or machine building and maintenance

  • An Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering would be a plus

  • Proven experience in the use of electronic test equipment, oscilloscopes, megohmeters, multimeters, signal generators, logic probes, etc.

  • Intermediate level experience to use Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to read and utilize prints and drawings of electrical, electronic, and programming systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical diagrams

  • Have a thorough understanding of ladder diagrams/logic and competent in the programming and troubleshooting of Modicon, Allen Bradley (experience in Siemens PLC would be a plus) programmable controllers

  • Have a thorough knowledge of 480V, 3-phase power systems and equipment, 120 V single phase and 24 V DC control circuit and equivalent equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to follow a systematic problem-solving process of root cause analysis, solution implementation and effectiveness checking

  • Experience using precision instruments in either Metric or English measurement systems

  • Experienced in running conduit, wire sizing, and installation requirements and codes of the N.E.C. and JIC

  • Experience in either automated transfer line or Assembly & Test equipment

  • Must be a proven self-starter, with a willingness to work in a team environment

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience
