Engineering Testing Specialist

Description

No, this isn’t one of those ordinary jobs.

If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for an Engineering Test Specialist in Mississauga, ON . Reporting to the Director of Operations , you will carry out Research & Development Test Plans and coordinate testing on Hydrogen Fuel Cell and Electrolyser technologies.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Operate test stations (single cell, short stack) and other process operations in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Assist Research & Development in achieving screening requirements.

  • Build single cell and short stacks for R&D testing. Use and read measuring equipment as required (leak testers, multimeters, etc.).

  • Manage data organization, process data, produce test updates, create reports and present findings.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot test stations.

  • Understand end product specific functional test during assembly.

  • Ensure all test procedures comply with safety and manufacturing standards.

  • Identify improvements to processes to reduce cost, decrease product variability and improve product yield and run-rate.

  • Report key testing initiatives against target values.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Must have a Post Secondary Degree in Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer Designation is not a requirement, but must be willing to pursue P.Eng designation.

Experience :

  • 3 – 5 years experience executing test plans and using analytical equipment in a corporate environment.

  • Previous experience using Lab View software is strongly preferred.

  • Strong MS Excel skills, proven database skills including ability to write SQL queries.

  • Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Ensure all safety and processing procedures are followed.
