This is an exciting opportunity in Mineral Points, Wisconsin for a Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift- HOURLY.

Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing general maintenance work to maintain structures, small machinery, etc and installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and machines.

Key Responsibilities:

§Perform general maintenance work to maintain structures, machines, pneumatic/hydraulic repair, etc.

§Preventative maintenance

§Light tool work

§Repair and replace parts on such mechanical equipment such as presses, drills, etc.

§Understand and apply appropriate and prescribed safety procedures and practices

§Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader


Skills & Abilities:

§Safety conscious

§Ability to work well with others

§Ability to read blue prints, job data sheets, safety instructions, etc.

§Positive attitude

§Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks

§Good oral communication skills

§Good attendance

§Self motivated

§Requires a basic knowledge of machining practices, equipment design and function

Education & Experience:

§1-3 years of mechanical experience or training

§Mill and lathe experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

§Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

§Must be able to walk/stand at least 75% of the time

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
