This is an exciting opportunity in Mineral Points, Wisconsin for a Continuous Improvement Technician- HOURLY.
Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.
Position Summary: This Position is responsible to help, develop, implement, and sustain the Company’s continuous improvement initiatives. This position will involve duties ranging from data collection and analysis to minor improvement on the shop floor.
§Manage data for use in CFWT (Cross Functional Work Teams) meetings
§Assist in the operations/production operator general awareness training.
§Manage and coordinate individuals/ groups on CI projects/trainings
§Track CI project and update status to CMP staff
§Update Metric board
§Manage Operator Care Forms
§Ability to get trained on QSI/EASE and update documents
§Ability to drive CI projects for Safety and cost savings
§Drive to improve the operation excellence score for CI
§Other responsibilities assigned by the CI leader
Skills & Abilities:
§Ability to work well with others, as well as individually
§Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Web based)
§Knowledge of all departments and manufacturing processes within the plant
§Ability to collect, analyze data and make quantitative decisions
§Good written and oral communication skills
§Ability to follow directions
§Basic Problem Analysis Skills
Education & Experience:
§1-2 years experience working in a similar position is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
