We are looking for several talented Assembly Operator to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our New Power Business Segment in Milton Keynes.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm.

Salary is £23,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Working as part of an effective production team manufacturing prototype high voltage batteries, electrical harnesses, and associated subassemblies in a shop floor environment.

  • This role involves operating various machines as well as hand and power tools on a production line.

  • To carry out build and assembly tasks ensuring high quality is maintained while achieving agreed cycle times to meet agreed operations build plans.

  • Build & assembly of high voltage batteries for various applications.

  • Harness build & assembly

  • Build & assembly of mechanical and electrical prototype parts

  • Read and understand technical drawings & build manuals

  • Carry out inspection and tests of manufactured components

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following

Essential

  • Experience working on mechanical assemblies

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels

  • Ability to maintain a high quality of output

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Flexible approach to work schedule and to assist in production assembly build plan

  • Proactive approach towards health and safety

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawingsDesirable

  • Experience with high voltage applications

  • Experience with electrical components build and assembly process

  • Experience of working on and understanding of production lines.

  • Understanding of electrical components, and their functionality

  • Understanding of High Voltage working environments

  • Experience working in a prototype/ R&D environment
