Education, Licenses, Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, digital systems engineering, Electromechanics

Experience

4 years or more in the specific function

Knowledge

Up time for production equipment, High skills in programming LabVIEW, PLC (Allen Bradley and Siemens brands) and Visual Studio, knowledge in Industrial Robots (Implementation, Programming and Maintenance), define electrical control strategies, vision systems, SQL Database Management and maintenance of database, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0 (Cobots, Augmented Reality, Wearable Smart Devices, Exoskeletons and high technology devices on the Edge level), industrial robots, data acquisition, production support, data analysis, statistical knowledge, six sigma, project management.

Functions

  • Responsible to maintain machine and process availability with the requirements of safety, quality and cycle time in the second shift.

  • Available to change work shift as required by the business

  • Leadership for control technicians and other control engineers to provide support in daily activities and engineering projects

  • Active participation with product teams in order to plan continual improvement projects and assessment of issues that constrain productivity of production lines.

  • Active participation in quality analysis and provides solution regarding controls engineering for customer complains.

  • Be a leader and take decisions in second shift to maintain the operation of the production lines, support maintenance and gauge lab activities in order to keep the metrics of customer delivery.

  • Attend production issues with the required importance and urgency, act as support provider even in out of work shift issues present in the production lines.

  • Coaching of maintenance group of the second shift.

  • Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.

  • Electrical System Troubleshooting - Analyzes an electrical control system to resolve and repair electrical issues to return the system to proper operating conditions.

  • Factory Automation and Control Systems - Implements changes to further automate manufacturing processes using available technology, programming techniques, and identifying needed material and resources for project completion to provide the optimum automation for the manufacturing environment.

  • Machine Programming - Creates factory floor machine programs by designing and implementing solutions to improve usage of machine and overall operation.

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.,
