We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Frankfort, KY

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Manufacturing Supervisor

• Supervises the daily activities of a production unit or teams.

• Responsible for the daily activities of a production team including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.

• Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

• Serves as group lead on projects and work assignments.

• Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.

• Coaches and mentors team members.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree required.

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

• Supervisory experience preferred.

• Documenting all conflicts to provide to Human Resources for record-keeping.

• Facilitates corrective action processes according to Cummins and site policies consistently and equitably.

• Ensures Coverage - Provides coverage when needed in the event of planned vacation and absences of peers.

• Ensures visibility and coverage in events of overtime.

• Communication - Facilitates daily communication of any challenges and presents resolutions when loss of production or failure to meet production targets is experienced.

• Holds daily handshake meetings 30-minutes before and after shift to discuss any challenges and plan/prepare for any anticipated concerns.

• Builds Effective Teams - Responsible to enter requisitions in IRecruit schedule interviews, facilitate interviews, and recruit new team members for respected department.

• Drive 5S Efforts - Conduct end-of-shift observation walks to identify and address 5S needs for department.

• Labor Balancing - Review labor for production lines to meet efficiency and parts-per-hour targets regularly and request adjustments as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
