Manufacturing Engineering - Placement Student
We are looking for an improvement driven & hard-working Manufacturing Engineering – Placement Student to join our team specializing in assembly manufacturing engineering processes of 38 – 91 l engine production lines to improve the line capacity and efficiency for our Power Systems business segment in Daventry . During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provide functional support to the team with data analytics related to the projects assigned.
Support team with project management and lead own projects.
Supports several aspects of a function’s Functional Excellence efforts. (e.g. ergonomics related tasks)
This position may provide exposure to multiple Cummins business units and sub-functions within a global environment.
Analyse and interpret data to draw conclusions to improve business processes and create innovative solutions to drive improvements in current processes.
Ensuring working policies and procedures are maintained.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree from across all Engineering & STEM-related subjects and not graduating this academic year. Preferred Discipline: Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Automotive Engineering.
Practical approach to support technical evaluation and ability to manage own challenging projects.
Teamwork, ability to work on multiple assignments and within cross functional groups, very well-developed communication skills.
PC literacy (Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook).
