Engine Disassembly Operator

Description

Disassemble engines to a documented process. Ensure quality of work is up to acceptable standard. Able to meet stated cycle time and safety requirements. Must have 2 years verifiable diesel engine experience.

Available to work overtime and shift work if necessary.

  • Candidate must follow and obey all Cummins safety procedures.

  • Candidate must be able to follow written task instruction sheets.

  • The candidate is responsible to maintain a clean work environment.

  • The operator can be instructed to perform duties other than disassembling engines as they pertain to the work demand.

  • Candidate must wear uniforms and maintain the standard set with regards to appearance and PPE safety.

Qualifications

  • Candidate mt be able to read and write English.

  • High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience to the position.

  • Operator must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Basic Computer knowledge.

  • 1-2 years experience desired.

  • Mechanical/shop experience mandatory.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely.

  • Capable of driving a fork lift safely. If not then must be willing and able to learn.

  • Capable of tearing down engines without damaging parts and generating a detailed parts list utilizing QSOL and experience.

  • Must be able to correctly identify damaged parts.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Must own the appropriate tools required per QSOL to disassemble the assigned engines safely.

  • Able and willing to follow verbal directives from supervisors and senior operators.

  • Dependable.
